“Pocket of Memories 1”, inspired by Mustafa Boğa’s patchwork quilted blankets, evokes a reference to one of the greatest treasures of the Mediterranean climate: citrus fruits. Drawing from the orange tree, which frequently appears in his works, Mustafa Boğa conveys the nostalgia that citrus fruits remind him of. At the same time, the motifs embroidered onto the jacket refer to the traces that memories leave on us, almost as if they are stitched into our being.

In 2000, Boğa graduated from the Radio-TV Broadcasting Department at Harran University. Later, in 2009, he graduated from the Journalism Department at Istanbul University. He successfully completed his first master’s degree in Cinematography and Post-Production at the University of Greenwich in London. From 2014 to 2016, Boğa completed his second master’s degree in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins. Boğa, who has won numerous awards including The Red Mansion Art Award in 2016, continues his artistic practices between Istanbul and London.
