“Pocket of Memories 2” embroidered with elements etched into Mustafa Boğa’s childhood memory, is made up of compositions that bring together elements from the artist’s birthplace and roots. The design, which touches on the culture, customs, and rituals of Adana, aims to reflect the local identity of the city. In this piece, created within the scope of artist collaborations, motifs unique to Adana are embroidered onto the models, creating wearable memories that hold Mustafa’s recollections by combining narratives that invite the viewer into his inner world.

In 2000, Boğa graduated from the Radio-TV Broadcasting Department at Harran University. Later, in 2009, he graduated from the Journalism Department at Istanbul University. He completed his first master’s degree in Cinematography and Post-Production at the University of Greenwich in London. From 2014 to 2016, Boğa completed his second master’s degree in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins. Boğa, who has won numerous awards including The Red Mansion Art Award in 2016, continues his artistic practices between Istanbul and London.
