İnci Furni makes site-specific installations by using patterns, video performances and found objects in her interdisciplinary art practice. The artist, who held her solo exhibition titled “Stopped for a moment” in Arter in 2019 and “Still Life” in Vienna Krinzinger Gallery in September 2021, intervened with color gestures on the white shirt image of the brand in her new collaboration with Bil’s. In this collection named ‘On Color’, Furni places animated color gestures on the whole body. These gestures, consisting of a single main color and intermediate colors and lines on the pocket, sleeve and collar, colorful movements converging and moving away from each other on the body, and a linear belt.
In the video performance titled ‘Rehearsal’, which will take place in the exhibition that held simultaneously in Bilsart as part of the “Synchronous: Simultaneous Video Exhibitions” in collaboration with Bil’s; the artist uses the roll papers from her designs in her workshop in Bomonti, Istanbul, and an interior of the production phase of the shirt left to dry. In this spatial trailer, we watch a performance of her with a shirt, consisting of simple, movement-oriented everyday movements.
